Kadak is a collective of South Asian women and queer folk, that deal with issues from an intersectional, feminist, viewpoint, through graphic storytelling. In light of the Act and the resulting protests, the ever-expanding group of creators from the Kadak Collective sought to help by creating a website platform for creatives called Creatives Against CAA. They called for artists to submit their protest posters, providing a platform that allowed the public to freely download posters, in efforts to help build a strong community of voices that together can form resistance against an unjust law.
The Creatives Against CAA platform saw many Kulture Shop artists along with artists and creators from the country and abroad submitting their posters.
To help spread the word and make some of these posters instantly accessible to our network, we selected 80 protest poster designs from CAA’s curated website and printed them in bulk.
The A3 Posters were further distributed in the Kulture Shop Kala Ghoda and Bandra Stores. These were free for visitors, customers and protestors to pick up and become part of their protest against the act.
